On November 3rd, ODU and VTEEA held a Free Safety Workshop for all Technology and Engineering Education teachers. The workshop was a great success!! Thank you ODU for creating this great website to help our teachers and students be safe! Check out the gallery below for some action shots!

VTEEA's very own Dr. Phil Reed, Dr. Mohammad Barbarji, and Dr. Ray Wu-Rorrer were all featured in the October edition of ITEEA's Technology and Engineering Teacher Journal. Dr. Reed and Dr. Barbarji wrote an article on their work in implementing the EbD curriculum in Kuwait. Dr. Wu-Rorrer's article was on a district wide robotics program. - VTEEA Board of Directors Endorses Philip A. Reed for ITEEA President
The VTEEA Board of Directors unanimously endorsed Philip A. “Phil” Reed, PhD, DTE for ITEEA President-Elect at the September VTEEA Board meeting. Dr. Reed is a Professor at Old Dominion University where he serves as the technology education program director, graduate program director, and has served as department chair. He continues to serve on the VTEEA Board of Directors as the teacher education representative, a role he has held for the past eleven years. Dr. Reed was the ITEEA Region One Director from 2015-2017 where he helped establish the ITEEA China International Center and assisted with the implementation of Engineering by Design (EbD) in Kuwait. His goals as President would be to focus ITEEA’s role in STEM education and to strengthen national and international partnerships. These goals are discussed in Dr. Reed’s article Reflections on STEM, Standards, and Disciplinary Focus in the April, 2018 Technology and Engineering Teacher.
